As this one is on the expensive side would you recommend it? Is it worth it in your opinion?

I like it, you have to keep the washer fluid topped up with screen wash to stop it freezing and the heated water helps clear the screen quicker.

would I buy one, well the one I have was a sample and I agree it is expensive, I’d think I would spend my money on something else unfortunately, last time I looked it was £130 ish. I’d want one for about £39!

Thanks for the honest opinion :)

I'm looking to import this one from the states as it seems pretty much the same (or very similar) and more affordable: http://alphathermusa.com/Products.html

@darenh

How did you do the auto locking when closing the tailgate, like in your Youtube video? I'm thinking of buying something like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Electric-Power-Trunk-Lock-Switch-Button-Trunk-Lid-Lock-For-AUDI-A4-A6-A7-A8-Q3/32830225405.html?spm=a2g0o.home.01008.1.650c2c25L1QoHo or this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Tail-gate-trunk-switch-luggage-button-For-BMW-5-Series-7-Series-F02-F18-F10/32917063808.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.421b2e0eOUvndp

Then the lock button would close the trunk and lock the car and trunk button just close without auto locking. Did you use some kind of timer relay or where did you get the status that the gate is closed and ready to lock? And which wire is the locking wire?
