I raised an issue with my car's wing mirrors at its last service (the first scheduled one since I bought the car). Mine used to stop closing and opening properly every time it rained. The car is in its last 2 months of manufacturer's warranty and Renault replaced both mirrors free of charge. I also got a new a/c compressor under warranty. Bravo, Renault.

Same issue with my 16 plate Kadjar too.

One wing mirror would close while the other one got stuck. Problem has been getting worse recently so decided to get some WD-40 out and spray the arms. It did the trick, the slow closing has gone and both mirrors fold in properly. I'll just keep this up so I don't wear the motors out.

WD40 is not a lubricant. Besides it has petroleum products in it, which might damage the plastic. It will also stuck dust and dirt and would act as sandpaper after time. Not the smartest idea at all.

My colleague changed both under warranty. I'm spraying mine with silicone spray every 5-6 months.

Can I ask where you are spraying please?

Mine are really slow and the drivers keeps sticking half open/shut

Between the two moving parts from every angle possible when opened and when closed. Remember to not let the liquid pour on the door as it's hard to remove and stays for a very long time.
