It's an issue on many Marks not just Renaults, a VX cavalier once slopped about 1/2 gallon of very cold water in my lap as I was giving it some on a roundabout. Hadn't noticed any condensation but a sporty turn threw all the lot over to the driver side and over the bulkhead. That too was just the rubbers in the water catch tray getting "sealed" shut
