Hopefully not too far of topic but, can you guts hear the difference between streamed and music ripped from a genuine CD.

If the stream is good enough, for example Spotify in premium mode (320kbps), the sound is most times better than from a CD ripped in MP3 files.

My technical knowhow is very limited as regards streaming/MP3 etc. I do however have a very revealing and high quality HiFi system. I won't play anything other than CDs or Vinyl as I can tell the difference compared to another source material.

Now not for a minute do I doubt what you say, I can't tell any loss in the car, but given I can't switch A/B as cars no longer have CD players fitted,(not many anyway). I don't think any car system given its environment, speaker layout etc, would pull a difference. just wondered if anyone thought it did. 

Exactly. In the car you would not notice the difference, but on a Hifi home system you would.

My thanks to Bulldog and Robertp for their advice on this. With the help of an Album Art downloader, iTunes and some cutting and pasting I now have a full set of Album covers on the USB stick in my car.
