It was never a feature on the bose edition however it can be activated through the developers menu, if you can get in it.
The other way is to use ddt4all, free software and an elm, loads of other stuff to fiddle with also turned alsorts on on mine.

Where did you get your ddt4all software from and was there any specific guidance for using it on the Kadjar?

I got the DDT4all instructions on this forum under the upgrade Rlink 2 to Rlink 3 topic but searched different sites to find a version that worked for me with my diagnostic adapter.

Tried the settings for the volume as suggested i.e. change the "speed curve" but still no option shows up in the sound settings and the volume doesn't change with higher speeds.

Any other suggestions as to where this setting is would be much appreciated.

Did you try to "reset" the system after applying the change (in Einstein mode)?

Unfortunately I still don't know which setting to actually change before doing the reset.

The speed curve in developer mode made no difference

Is it the same setting in Ddt4all that needs changing to turn this auto volume function on?

Thanks

In ddt4all the change should be made after you press the Einstein button. Afterwards there should be a reset button at the bottom of the screen in ddt4all page.
