In principle I fully agree with you. But apart from that, there IS a major difference between the "German" and the "Roman" attitude to rules in general. I believe we all agree on that...

Yes of course. There's a significant difference between the attitude of the people north from the Pyrenees/Alps/Carpathian and south of this imaginary line, but as I drive a lot both in Italy and Austria, I can assure you, that all the calm and respectful people from Austria and Germany become the same rushing idiots (me included) in a matter of minutes, just by crossing the border :D

General opinion amongst my French friends is that it's nothing more than a tax raising issue gathering the extra revenue via the speed cameras and carefully hidden traffic cops. I live near the Landes forests where it's not unsual to have 20km stretches of road which are dead straight and with very little traffic - imagine doing 50mph along there... At least the cruise control ad limiter come in useful.

I suggest, we make difference between RLink version 2 and 3. The fact, that version 2 is full of bugs and crap, does not mean, it's the same in version 3, which I find basically flowless! If the guy's gonna buy a car made after May 2017, all the criticism does not count for the RLink.

The thing is you want to treat early buyers just how Renault have treated us, by ignoring them. I'm not offended by you but I paid the same price as you and got an inferior product. Do you really expect me to think of  my car different to yours, seriously?? Renault have let us down, the more I think about it the more sure I am. I am very aware of not buying a brand new model until the irksome bits have been sorted, I waited over 12 month from release date in the Uk until ordering mine, still very disapointing no matter what exceptions anyone wishes to put forward

PS, check some of the carp about later Rlink on the old forum, it is'nt fully sorted still. Of course if you wish everyone to think the car is perfect, well, maybe yours is but....................

If this forum has got down to the level of owners of older cars shouldn't have an opinion then I'm done. Last ever post on this forum shortly

You didn't get my point at all. The guy is not considering buying an old Kadjar, but a new one, with version 3 of the RLINK. In this case,  you're misleading him with wrong information. Am I wrong?
As mentioned before, I have Android Auto, which means, I can use Google Maps, Waze, and all other android apps of my choice, and still, I prefer the RLink navigation, cause it's better in many ways. With the cable connecrion, the sound through Spotify in extreme quality settings is.... extremely good, all the sensors work correctly, exept the automatic wipers (which I believe are Qashqai's nonsense, like the buttons for the windows). So can't think of something, that would make me complain till getting totally bored from my RLink. Yes, the pre-May17' owner are probably screwed, but it doesn't mean we should scare the newcomers with nonexisting worries.

When a topic is posted asking qq or kr, yes, the intension is to answer the question. Remember tho',  the intention is others will come along and find this in a search. They may be buying 2nd hand or new so they need the facts and to say effectively ignore comments about older cars defeats this. Look how many new car owners still have Rlink issues, it's far from sorted, so yes, I do think you are wrong. There's a category of person that simply won't hear a bad word about the choice of car they made and there's a 2nd group who think the Kadjar is the devils spawn, we all need to be careful not to be drawn into either camp.
The Kadjar is a very good car, you've never heard me say different, but the opposition is there too.For the last 2 years almost I've been considering another, it isn't going to happen now as I still see it as a wok in progress. Of course the next one, mk11 or facelift, may change all that. The trouble will be that will likely emerge exactly at the time I replace my car so there will be little history of how it fares.

The original question was loaded tho, the OP asked for reasons to buy a Kadjar, should he not also be given the counter questions answers, ie, reasons why not to?
