Re. StevieBoy No. 45
I won't argue with you. And then I do it ;-)
I believe I read somewhere (in this forum?), that there was a minor face lift of the Kadjar in late 2016. Including walk away lock, automatic folding mirrors when locked, light in the glove compartment, LED-lights on some models and maybe something more. Mine is produced in October 2016 and has it all. Model: Night and Day, which is a slightly "poorer" version of what in Germany is sold as the Kadjar Crossover.

Topic has been unlocked as possibly locked in error by me.

I believed shedder101 implied this in his last post and on reflection I think it was targeted at the debate that appeared to be getting out of hand between 2 members. Unless there is a discussion between Admins to contrary, the topic will remain open and by all means continue the comparison between the 2 cars, be constructive and make sure you are definitive and can't be misunderstood.

I should stay away but given the above by dc and this being my 1st look back at the site in a good few months I realise I was probably one of "the 2" mentioned.

I didn't find any comment out of context in what is a direct comparison, it's an inevitable comparison given that they are essentially the same car, even including tyre wear.

Having owned both my choice is now firmly Qashqai as it stands at present, but things move on. Most folks will visit both forums before buying, best thing to be honest. I have recently tried the latest QQ, it's more predictable and intuitive tech stuff sat nav etc wise to my mind, and looks equally good, didn't a while back,.

1.6 is still too noisy in the qq and likely the Kj

I'm please to see you have put an appearance in again and whilst you may have gone over to the other side, in make, you are more than welcome to contribute to the site based on your experiences with the QQ and KJ where relevant.

Point is, I haven't gone anywhere yet, just sussing stuff out.

My biggest issue is that there are so many manufacturers that seem to have a world beater coming up "mid 19", there is nothing tangible so all cards are still on the table.

Harking back, I drive like a fart on tranquillisers most of the time, I just don't slow for corners. Just coming up to the 2 year service and the front 19's have had to be changed at 10623 miles. On my contract they get changed at 2mm tread depth but these were down to the 1.6mm min wear marker. I don't thing the qashqai would have fared any better under similar circumstance having had 1 before.

Dealership visit this Monday past, view is that they have been informed the "new"kadjar just has a minor, (bumper was mentioned) facelift and updated tech.
