Just had the same "issue", fixed it with ease. Below you can fin my DIY video.

Perfect guide, but I would avoid spraying WD40 on rubber or plastic, as it's a petroleum product and is not a greasing agent, but more like a dissolver.

Thanks! I agree about wd-40, in my case I had some multi purpose spray that is rubber and plastic friendly. But I think wd-40 is also fine if you want just to clean the rod and the rubber and dry it out afterwards :)

In its base, where the rod goes through the body. You'll see the knuckle joint. Just spay it over thoroughly and the lubricant will flow down to the bushing, that squeaks.
