I use Lenovo Thinkpad L580 and Win10 without problems. Everything recognized from the start. So, something in the settings or some other app blocking it.

Did anyone find an answer to this?
My R-Link Toolbox always worked OK in the past but has now come up with the same problem. I've downloaded a new version and deleted an anti virus program I recently installed but no success.
It's driving me nuts!

I guess you are using the same Computer you have always used, which is?

I have a Lenovo ideapad 500 which I have used for the past 3 years. The Toolbox worked fine last year when I was able to update maps etc.
It's telling me to check the configuration in the settings but I can't find out what the correct configuration is.
Is the password unique to Toolbox or is it the same as the R-Link password?
As you can tell, it's leaving me very frustrated.
