There is a solution, but you need ddt4all. Follow the Facebook group below and search for MID.

So, after all, it is possible to install 3.3 on 2.2.
A guy from Belgium seems to manage this. He posted some pictures and said it already made the change for 4 cars and all are working fine.
What you need?
1. Your R LInk 2 with an older version (.803)
2. a file with the extension .lgu (you must get this file from the guy - maybe he will ask for money?!?!?)
3. a little courage
4. ddt4all to change the screen mode from portrait to landscape
Practically you install the new .lgu file like any other update. And after that you have to change the screen orientation because is form a Scenic 4. Other problems? Maybe you will have another functions (like ambilight) and you will not be able to use them.
Of course you will have to erase your account on Renault update site and make another one.
Interesting!

PS This is from another forum. I just followed the hadryan's info about this topic .

https://www.reno.ro/index.php?showtopic=316334&st=150 user is victor80

Victor80's approach is replacing the lgu file for smaller versions of 2.2.19.300 with a lgu that brings version 3.3.16.946 and then activating android auto and carplay. The file lgu il is downloaded from the system directly from renault. That tells a lot about Renault: it is clear that some cars can be updated officially but renault does not want this.

There are two other sites with interesting information ,both site is french and the  post is named Rlink2 Menus Cache.-   https://www.msieurlolo.fr where the djeman user has had extraordinary results in lgu file analysis and has basically discovered how to enter the development mode. .There is information about the android software used but unfortunately have not yet managed to modify the software to can install other applications .
-   https://www.tomtomax.fr/   where the SSL user posts are also very interesting .
Perhaps if more people who know android software are involved, we will get a firmware change

The problem is not to have somebody with android skills. The problem is to have access to a R Link 2 for testing (how to test with R Link 2 mounted in my Kadjar?) and also access to different configurations. So only somebody working with/at Renault can hepl us. It is frustrating that Renault just refuse to do it!!
