I've seen that there is a map update but to download nearly 5 GB on slow internet speed here in Portugal would take too long. I think I'll wait until I'm back in UK. What I would like to know is how long it takes to upload on to the car's R-Link system..
Can anyone tell me?

Yes it took 35 minutes with the engine running. Turn the volume right down and don't do anything, don't even keep staring at the progress bar (a watched kettle etc.). You'll be surprised at how long 35 minutes is.

Took half an hour for me too. With the engine running. I was afraid to even leave the car, as opening the driver's door usually turns off the R-link2. Bring your smart phone and check out this forum in detail while waiting. It's worth it ;-)

Thanks, the previous update took about half an hour. I uploaded that while I was taking a drive lasting longer than that so I wasn't able to watch-although I believe it stopped and started a few times during the process.

Took me 20 -25 minutes. No engine running! Just left door open just in case. Second map update, done this way.
1.6 dCI, 2WD, Zen+ , Retractable Tow Bar.
RLink 2 - V9.0.34.610, Here Maps (2021/Q4) + TomTom POIs and SpeedCams (2021_06)
