Can anybody advise me about the aircon system, please? All the motoring articles I have read say that it is important to run the aircon as much as possible to keep the compressor and all the seals lubricated which I have always done in previous cars fitted with aircon. In my Kadjar, if I press the 'aircon' to turn it on, the light in the button illuminates but, when I press the 'auto' button for the climate control, the light in the 'aircon' button goes out. My question, therefore, is does the aircon carry on working in auto mode or is it only on when the aircon button is pressed? My local Renault garage is unsure and just waffled about using the auto button for comfort!

Air con on auto will only kick in if temp increases past the desired setting. Should stay on permanent if you are using dual zone, but it's not necessary to run it all the time.
