Just noticed my rear pads are down to 4mm has anyone replaced their pads and how difficult  job is it, with the elec handbrake. I am a good mechanic but never came across elec handbrake before... off to France next week so any ideas what kind of mileage is left on the pads, if its a simple job will change them while I am away..

It's absolutely the same as if it's with a manual handbrake. Just release it before starting.

This subject has been covered on the "old" forum.
The consensus there was that either a Renault dealer had to reset the pads with their maintenance computer or that a handheld electronic gizmo available
from on line retailers could do the job.

Why gizmos and gadgets? Put the ignition on, without starting the motor, release the break and replace 'em...

Google "Electronic Parking Brake Service Tool" and you'll find plenty of gizmos listed at quite hefty prices.

If the job was as simple as you say I'm sure there would be no market for these items.
