Greeting
I have a winter set of 16 tires and I think my TPMS sensors are gone
The sensor mechanic is asking me for 50 euros apiece.
Now I see on ebay that there are 4 pieces of 50 euros each with an OEM number
Now I wonder if it has to be programmed with a special device or I just need to put them on the car?

Maybe you just have to let the car computer read in the TPMS valves into the car computer after changing tyres. It is done in the menu on the dashboard. The car can handle several sets of tyres, but has to be updated via the menu after each tyre change. You set the menu up, and drive for some kilometers and it should be ok. Likewise if you buy new TPMS valves for Renault specifically, it would be that easy. But there are multi purpose TPMS valves around that must be programmed for the specific car brand before it works. I got those for my Kadjar and the Renault Garage could not make them work, a tyre specialist company had the multi car brand programming unit to make it work. And now it is easily updated via the menu in the car, each autumn and spring.

I used VDO make TPMS valves if you search 407004CB0B part you will get a lot of hits - some Ali Express copies so try and get the ones with the correct markings in white letters / numbers and make sure a 433 ( 433Mhz) see pic of a VDO one.

Thanks for all the confirmations on here of the fact that the Nissan-Renault alliance had thought properly about this aspect of the customer being able to swap tyres without extra expense and time of a trip to the stealers.
