My 2015 Kadjar did not come with an auto-dimming mirror. I got one of eBay but the loom was cut about four inches from the plug. I removed the trim for the mirror and the courtesy lights to see if there was a wiring harness for the mirror. There was not.

So now I want to connect the yellow and grey wire from the mirror to a power source. I see two options:

    1.     Run a wire from the fuse box on the left side door up the trim panel and across the headliner to the mirror.

    2.     Connect the mirror to the wiring harness in the courtesy light area.

If I do the first option, what is the best fuse to use to connect the positive wire to the the fuse box wiring? Is the yellow wire the positive? Accessory?

If I go with the courtesy light option, would that provide power to the mirror all the time, or just when the doors are opened. Which wire should I use to connect the positive wire from the mirror.

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
