Remove the light cover with a trim tool or credit card or football season card!, furthest away from you, or close to the window prise it off.
Use a small screw driver to release the retaining clip, the light will drop out.

I used a twin cable routed down the passenger side A pillar, the cable can be pushed up to the headlining with a card again.
Route around the top of the A pillar, be careful not to foul the air bag.
Only pull the A pillar off at the top, it gives enough room to route the cable down the door Rubber side after pulling the door rubber off.
The A pillar had a secondary Clip, if in the event of an accident this secondary Clip stops the pillar trim from going anywhere.

Cable can be routed down into the footwell kick plate.

Darren just wanted to say thank you for your help

Fitted my welcome lights now.

I owned a Qashqai before I brought this and these are a genuine Nissan under sill welcome lighting kit.

I had to make new holes in the casing strip to match the holes in the sills but fitted them fine.
