After unpacking, the size is 1.1 GB. But the date of adjustment is from 2017 so it probably will not be right.

TomTom used to release a new operating system every now and then which rendered any hacked maps useless unless you knew how to re-patch them which fortunately I could but many people were left with bricked TomToms after paying for them on ebay etc especially the ones with Truck maps . The newer TomToms are unhackable so they are now offering cheap deals to buy new ones to stop losing money on the older ones.


Got u - wish they focus on delivering new / up-to-date maps instead of looking for ways to brick people's devices :) Yet still, I don't think its tom-tom messing with us with this update.

Most of the people with V2 software would be happy, having a bricked device. Replacing the unit is a good way for painless upgrade, as most of these cars are still under warranty and it would be impossible to say whose false is the bricking :D

i just noticed that i have the button to turn off start-stop, so i will proceed with the update from 2.2 to 3.3

How strange. Maps and the 3.3.16.960 are showing for me within the toolbox. Currently downloading the maps (slowly). Will wait to see what happens with the firmware.
